MESSAGE
Teenagers in senior high schools are greatly concerned about their career path and life direction after leaving schools. Instead of selecting a major at a university and letting their life go with the flow, have teens ever asked themselves what kind of life they want to lead? The reverse process of choosing a major and career before knowing what their desired life truly reoccurs every year, resulting in severe consequences on personal success and happiness and the development of the society at large.
We strongly believe that life can be managed and when we know how to manage it, our life will be happier, more successful and worthwhile. SELF-LEADERSHIP FOR TEENS (for senior high schools) will help teens overcome their struggle to be the person they want, lead a life they dream.
“In order to make it, we should first redefine the role and reset the learners’ attitudes in their educational process: passive or proactive, “slave” or “owner”? The input of an educational process is a learner; and the output is also that learner with a new mindset, new knowledge, new capabilities and new behaviors. So, the “producers” of an educational process are the state, schools, teachers, or learners themselves? I believe that the “producer” is the learners whereas the state, schools, teachers or parents are only catalysts or supporters of the process. Since early childhood, learners have been placed in the environment that they can take ownership of their educational process, thereby developing independent thinking to transform others’ knowledge, skills and experience into their own assets. They will redefine their learning and more deeply understand it by three questions: Why to learn? What to learn? How to learn? Furthermore, they should know whom they want to be and how to become such a person.” - Gian Tu Trung (Excerpt from Thanh Nien Newspaper on April 2, 2019 https://thanhnien.vn/gioi-tre/thieu-vang-van-hoa-1066683.html) |
