MESSAGE

Entering junior high schools, teens’ temperament changes quickly; they easily feel happy then sad. The pressure from learning also affects their emotions. In addition, when talking to parents and teachers, teens sometimes find that they are not heard. Gradually, these negative feelings can build up and influence their mental health. To help teens overcome the shock of this age and become more resilient, mindfulness is one of their best companions.

MINDFULNESS FOR TEENS (for junior high schools) help teens regain control of their thoughts and emotions and take good care of their bodies so that they can deal with difficult situations, cultivate equanimity, and live a life full of kindness, compassion and gratitude.

OBJECTIVES

By practicing mindfulness, teens will be able to:

  • Confront and manage stress effectively and healthily
  • Work with their own’s thoughts and emotions
  • Live in the present and be grateful for life
  • Love and take care of themselves
