MESSAGE
No individual can thrive without a problem-solving mindset and creative ideas. Especially, the society will become better and more sustainable if there are many ideas stemming from empathy and kindness.
However, not all young people can proactively take ownership of problems that need to be changed, and neither can they make their ideas happen. Copy-cat learning style has inhibited their creativity. In other cases, they think but not act. So how to motivate young people to join hands in bringing about changes?
Project-based learning will be an exciting opportunity for teens to practice entrepreneurial spirit. Aside from the entrepreneurial spirit, we would need a proven scientific method to ensure success. ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR TEENS (for senior high schools) deploys Stanford University’ s well- researched and globally implemented Design Thinking framework as a tool for teens to carry out their real-world projects.
More specifically, Entrepreneurship is the spirit of taking responsibilities and risks; daring to think and daring to do; being brave enough to go on a road that no one has ever taken, do things that no one has ever done. That spirit comes from the sensitivity and empathy towards any challenge in any area of life and a devotion to the community by solving the challenge. - Gian Tu Trung Author of Dung Viec/ In Search of the Truth - A Perspective on Enlightenment of Our Time |
OBJECTIVES
“Entrepreneurship for Teens” is to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit in teens and to equip them with scientific skills and tools through the five stages of Design Thinking.
“DESIGN THINKING” MODEL
Stanford University’s Design Thinking is the most innovative framework with proven effectiveness in creative problem solving and trained in corporates, universities, and schools globally.
After completing a project, students will be able to:
- Develop a deep interest and keen observation in daily life to identify problems
- Empathize and see from users’ perspectives to design a solution
- Generate out-of-the-box ideas to find solutions and conduct evaluation for improvement
- Work collaboratively in a team towards a shared goal
